Sunday School Superintendent – Lydia Gibson & June Smith
Our IDC Sunday School platform is where persons learn they are loved by God and the
people of God through the warm fellowship, and inviting and creative study of
the Bible for people of all ages.
During our Sunday School sessions we teach Bible stories to students in such memorable and positive ways
that they become life-long lessons unfolding their meaning as the student
grows, -drawing them closer to God and the people of God. Our teachers are creative, inviting course of basic
training for young Christians --learning about God's love, God's plan, and
God's expectations of his people.
The Goal of Sunday School
Training up our members in the knowledge of the Bible and
love of God and become full participants in the Church of God through the Holy
Ghost experience.
Surrounding children of IDC with a faith family that knows them, cares for them,
and continues to share with them while providing them with a basic understanding
of most of the major stories of the Bible, and in particular, the story of
Jesus.
It is a major goal of the IDC Sunday
School to increase enrolment
because
as enrollment increases,
attendance tends to increase. Hence we aim to make more contacts: calls, cards/letters, e-mail, and visits. The overall
goal is to win the lost at any cost as per out Mission and Vision!
The Sunday School is broken up into
classes based on age.
